HISTORY

Karkhana Sufia Khatun Girls' High school is a renowned school at Kachipara Union of Bauphal Upazilla, district of Patuakhali.

The school was established in 1987 after Sufia Khatun, the wife of Emdad Ali who originally established a maqtab for little girls of the village, in 1936 (British Indian period). The current school was founded by Sufia Khatun’s seven daughters and three sons. The school was established with a view to spread the light of education for girls in this rural area, a lifetime priority of Emdad Ali, Sufia Khatun, their children and grandchildren.
